Meghalaya ministers urge North East students to return
A three-member ministerial team from Meghalaya that visited Bangalore, Pune and Mumbai on a goodwill mission today urged the students and working professionals from the State to return and resume their studies and work without apprehension.
The team comprising ministers—Abu Taher Mondal (Power), Alexander L Hek (GAD) and Ampareen Lyngdoh (Urban Affairs) assured the parents and the working professionals of safe ambience there after they were convinced about the security measures being promised by the governments of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Leader of the delegation AT Mondal told newsmen here that they held meeting with the Deputy Chief Ministers of the two States. “Our on-the-spot assessment also was satisfactory,” he said.
