Priests performing Deodhani dance on the 2nd day of the three-day long annual Deodhani festival at Kamakhya temple in Guwahati on Saturday. The Deodhani festival is held in connection with the Manasa Puja (worship of the Serpent Goddess). Goats and pigeons are offered and sacrificed in this festival. Deodhani dancers also drink the raw blood of pigeons offered by the devotees. (Sentinel)
